About Birchwood

Green Michelin starred chef, Will Devlin has opened his new restaurant at Flimwell Park.

Much like Devlin’s first two restaurants The Small Holding and The Curlew, Birchwood will be guided by the landscape and self-sufficiency and focussed on flavour found in the natural world.

Ingredients will be local, seasonal, home-grown and wild. Championing the artisan suppliers of Kent and Sussex, the menu will play host to local cheeses, dairy, wines, spirits, and beer, while many ingredients, such as mushrooms, brambles, elderberries, wood sorrel and birch sap will be foraged and sourced from Flimwell Park’s 46 acres of ancient woodland the restaurant overlooks.

The restaurant will offer an all-day menu for breakfast and lunch and will be open seven days a week, from 8am-4pm.

Rooftop greenhouse.

The adjoining Focal Building will be home to a rooftop greenhouse so that produce can be grown all the year round for Birchwood.

This means that as many of the fruit and vegetables served in the Birchwood will be as fresh as they can be, and will have travelled the shortest distance possible.
